The purpose of this course is to elevate the adoptee voice so that prospective adoptive parents can empathize with their lived experiences and issues surrounding separation, grief, and loss. Participants will learn the meanings of disenfranchised grief, ambiguous grief and loss, unresolved loss, stages of grief, how grief appears in children, and how to help their adopted child process their feelings of loss and grief.
